Which overwhelmingly beloved movie do you hate, or at least, not get?
For me, I wouldn't say I hate them, but I never quite "got" the Godfather films. I appreciate them, I certainly admire the craft and acting, and I defintely love mob stories, but both Godfather Parts 1 and 2 movies feel cold and dead to me. But I know that whenever I mention this to anyone, I immediately get called names, usually a fool.
So, where do *you* buck the conventional wisdom?
In Defense Of "Slow" Movies Update: Getting a lot of antipathy in the comments against Lost in Translation. I won't criticize anyone for their opinions-- to each their own-- but I wonder whether there is some sort of personal bias against "slow" movies.
