Okay, I admit it: I love the original Star Trek.
No, not in the "dress up and wear Spock ears" kind of way. I've never been to a convention, and I *have* kissed a girl.
That said, there's just something gloriously cool about Bill Shatner kicking alien tail, then making out with space chicks clothed in silver foil.
If you haven't heard by now, for the 40th anniversary of Star Trek, they are releasing a new collection of the original series in high-definition, with remastered sound, remastered prints, and-- most suprising of all-- new special effects.
Nothing too dramatic-- the scenes still play the same, and they're all the same length-- but the models have been replaced in many instances with digital effects. I'm not entirely sure I'm thrilled about this, but I am curious to see how it all turned out.
Anyway, here's the trailer for the new collection, see it all for yourself.
