A Mud's-Eye View Of The War In Iraq.

Noah Shachtman, editor of the superb DefenseTech.org, spent some "quality time" this summer with the soldiers over in Iraq.

As someone who's known *ex* EOD guys (i.e., the kind of people routinely missing hearing, eyesight, and random body parts), it's tough and nasty work-- but never thankless.
