Obviously, there are plenty of worthy charities out there for you to donate to this holiday season, and I hope that everyone remembers the less fortunate among us during our times of joy.
That said, a fellow blogger and good friend of ours is having a hard time of it right now. Jennifer at Demure Thoughts has spent the last two weeks in and out of the hospital with her five-year-old daughter ill from all sorts of serious maladies-- kidney infections, pancreatitis, and now, surgery to remove her gall bladder and appendix. Jen and her family are spending the holiday in the hospital while her daughter gets better.
While Jen's daughter is covered by insurance, that never covers everything, and the bills from two weeks in the hospital will not be inconsiderable. So, if you have any spare dimes at all, think about visiting her site and clicking on the Pay Pal button on her sidebar to the left.
You don't have to sign up for anything, all you need is a debit or credit card, and I'm certain that every dime or dollar will be much appreciated by Jennifer and her family. FYI, this is my idea, not her's, so blame me for the cash-trolling.
Also, if you've enjoyed Jen's site in the past, spread this around, post it on your blogs too, so folks can help out however they can.
May Jen's daughter have a speedy recovery, and may all of you have a Happy Turkey Day!
