The past few days here in Washington it's skirted 90 degrees, with (I think) 2000% humidity.
Honestly, I step outside, the air is so thick, I feel like I should trade my shoes for flippers and take a swim through the air.
And it's only June. I just can't wait for August!
Then again, there was at least one benefit to these high temperatures: the air condition in my building kicked out around 3:30, so they closed down the office early. Unless you've experienced it, you can't imagine how fast a high-rise gets stuffy in the sun and heat. The place smelled like a gymnasium within fifteen minutes. And for once, the rank odor wasn't coming from my musky, Victor Mature-like scent.
Is it autumn yet?
